class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"lRu31\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"fr\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">In 2018, my cousin Doris and I connected with a collective group of long distance Daigle cousins who had done extensive research on the Daigle geneology.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">This started our Daigle Genealogy Project in compiling all these data and transcribing local geneology data into a databank for the Daigle Family reunion as part of the Acadian World Congress 2019.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"lRu31\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"fr\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Dedicated research and hours of data entry have been done by Doris Daigle who has been able to merge all the data, has done extensive research on the Daigle from the Kent County of New Brunswick and also our keeper of the Association genealogy project.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Our Daigle family databank now contains over 49,500 names.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"lRu31\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"fr\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">We are grateful for the data shared by Donald Daigle, from Louisiane, who shared his research on the Daigle descendants of Olivier Daigre and Jean Daigle dit L\u2019Allemand on both respective lines of descendants who settled in Louisiana in the mid-late 1700\u2019s.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Gord Deagle from Ottawa, who\u2019s ancestors settled in Margaree, NS, shared his genealogy data and this was a great addition.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"lRu31\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"fr\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Genealogy is a never ending project, as the accuracy of data is so important.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Although, there were many civil records that were lost during the Grand D\u00e9rangement, we are fortunate that we have renowned researchers at the Mus\u00e9e Acadiens de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Moncton, namely Stephen White, who has done extensive research on the Acadian families including the Daigle family,<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">all the contributors to the Acadian Project, Lucie LeBlanc Consentino and so many more.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">We also want to recognize Bernadette Daigle, author of L\u2019Odyss\u00e9e des Familles Daigle, and Zela Layden who has done extensive research on the Daigle families of Kent county, NB.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"lRu31\"><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"fr\"><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">If you have information
